Company Background
After 15 years as a compounding pharmacist, Mark Boesen decided
to pursue a law degree. In law school, he met Allyson Snow, who had
a background in medical device sales. Later, Mark became CEO of a
large mail-order pharmacy. Allyson served as general counsel and chief
compliance officer. Their roles gave them firsthand insight into the
regulatory and operational challenges pharmacies face.
To support independent pharmacies, they founded Boesen & Snow Law,
blending their legal training with industry experience to help clients
navigate complex legal and compliance issues.
After years of helping pharmacies respond to audits and inspections,
they saw a greater need for proactive support. They brought on a former
PBM auditor and launched PharmaFortify™, a service through Boesen &
Snow that helps pharmacies strengthen compliance and prepare before
problems arise.
Product Overview
PharmaFortify™ is a suite of services designed to meet the unique needs
and goals of your pharmacy. A single PBM audit or failed regulatory
inspection can cost tens of thousands of dollars — or even discipline to
your permit.
PharmaFortify™ draws on the real-world experience of the many
pharmacies we’ve supported, as well as the insight of our skilled team,
which includes former board of pharmacy inspectors, compounding
specialists, and PBM auditors.
You choose the services that fit your priorities — whether it’s achieving
USP compliance, licensing a new pharmacy, or preparing for a PBM
audit. We provide clear, step-by-step guidance to help protect and
strengthen your pharmacy before issues arise.
Our Solutions
n PBM Audit Gap Analysis
Mark Ziegler, Pharm.D., M.B.A., joined Boesen & Snow as director of
pharmacy services after leading audit teams at a major PBM, where he
oversaw thousands of independent pharmacy audits. His mission: help
pharmacies prepare for audits, not just react. This led to the PBM Audit
Gap Analysis, a mock audit service modeled on real PBM methods.
Available in four different tiers, each package includes a customized risk
analysis, hands-on training, and practical guidance, supported by Mark’s
insider knowledge and our legal and clinical team.
n Regulatory Compliance Review
PharmaFortify™ Regulatory Compliance Review is a proactive legal
service for independent pharmacies preparing for FDA, DEA, or
BOP inspections. Our team evaluates your policies, operations, and
documentation to identify risks, offer actionable recommendations,
and ensure inspection readiness — reducing penalties, permit risk, and
business disruptions.
n USP Readiness Assessment
PharmaFortify™ USP Readiness Assessment provides compounding
pharmacies with a proactive review of compliance with USP 795, 797,
and 800 standards for non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous drug handling.
We assess policies, procedures, facilities, and staff training, offering
specific guidance on risk management, environmental controls, labeling,
and ongoing education.
n Licensing and Reporting Management
PharmaFortify™ Licensing and Reporting Management service handles
licensing, renewals, change of ownership and location applications,
business licenses, controlled substance registrations, and more. Our firm
reduces your administrative burden by tracking deadlines, submitting
filings, and managing board communications, with minimal pharmacy
involvement. We also manage reporting to the DEA, boards of pharmacy,
FDA, EPA, including PDMP and hazardous waste submissions to keep
you compliant and penalty-free.
n Accreditation Process Support
PharmaFortify™ Accreditation Process Support guides your pharmacy
through every step of accreditation — whether URAC, ACHC, or others.
We manage applications, ensure documentation is complete, and assist
in developing policies and quality programs aligned with accreditation
standards, supporting and simplifying compliance.
